About Sanskrit Tool

A free, offline tool for Sanskrit and Indic script lovers.

What is this?

Sanskrit Tool is a lightweight system-tray application for macOS and Windows. It lets you type phonetically in Roman script and instantly see the output in any of six Indian scripts — Devanagari, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, or Malayalam — along with the IAST (International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration) equivalent, all at the same time.

It's built for scholars, students, writers, and anyone who works with Sanskrit or Indic languages daily. No internet required. No account needed. Just open it from your menu bar and type.

Who made this?

This tool was created by Kshama — a researcher and practitioner passionate about making Sanskrit and Indic knowledge accessible to everyone.
